Welcome to LAW 101 - Leaves And Water, where you will learn a simple ritual that connects you to the deep place of centred stillness within, where you will be empowered to listen to and express your own voice and so much more.

Through the simple ritual of preparing living tea, you will create your own sacred space for deeper connection to yourself, to others and to nature.

 

Join Laurie for this three week journey as we change our relationship to tea from one as a beverage to tea as a medicine and from a drink to ceremony, for creating the life you are meant to live.

 

Each student will receive their own hand made tea bowl, 3 bags of top quality living tea to brew and a journal to practice with daily over the course of our 21 days together. This bowl is yours to keep as you continue to deepen and grow in your own tea practice.

 

During these three weeks we will meet 3 times in person (or via zoom), for 90 minutes, to share some rare decades old teas from ancient tea trees as we learn how to:

• brew leaves in a bowl style brewing

• practice meditative bowl tea ceremony

• create a sacred tea space for your daily practice at home

• design a chaxi (tea stage)

• begin a simple cha dao bowl tea practice

• connect with and listen to water

• source living teas

• connect with ancient taoist and zen texts to support your journey

 

During our in person sessions, we will be building and deepening the skills of our tea practice. We will use the natural cycles of nature as a compass for our own lives, encouraging the skills of flow, ease and emptiness. Towards the end of each session we will have time for sharing, reflecting, and questions as we prepare for the week ahead during your own solitary tea sits.

 

After our three weeks together you will not only have a wonderful understanding of tea as a way of life but will also have begun a life changing journey.
